Embark on an unforgettable 6-day safari adventure across Kenya’s most iconic national parks and reserves with Pega Tours. This specially crafted tour covers three of Kenya’s must-visit destinations: Amboseli National Park, Lake Naivasha, and Maasai Mara National Reserve. Perfect for those seeking a blend of stunning landscapes, abundant wildlife, and authentic African experiences, this safari will take you through diverse ecosystems, offering the opportunity to witness nature’s beauty up close.

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Your safari journey begins with an early morning arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by your Pega Tours guide. From there, you’ll transfer to Amboseli National Park, known for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxing afternoon before embarking on your first game drive in the park. Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants, but you’ll also spot a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, and zebras. The park’s picturesque landscape of open savannas and swampy marshes makes for some incredible photo opportunities.

Day 2: Full Day Safari in Amboseli

After a hearty breakfast, you’ll enjoy a full day of game drives in Amboseli. The park’s unique ecosystem, with its mix of wetlands and dry savannas, makes it a great place to witness diverse wildlife. As you drive through the park, your guide will provide in-depth knowledge about the animals and the conservation efforts in place. Aside from elephants, the park is home to a wide range of wildlife, including buffalo, giraffes, wildebeest, and various bird species. The majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro offers some of the best photography moments, so be sure to capture the incredible scenes throughout the day.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

On Day 3, you’ll head to the beautiful Lake Naivasha, a serene freshwater lake located in the Great Rift Valley. The drive will take you through scenic landscapes, offering stunning views of the Rift Valley. Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, you’ll check into your lodge and enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the lake. The lake is home to numerous bird species, including the vibrant African fish eagle, and you’ll likely spot hippos lounging near the shore. This peaceful destination offers a welcome change of pace, allowing you to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Day 4: Visit Crescent Island and Transfer to Maasai Mara

After a leisurely breakfast by the lake, you’ll embark on a boat ride to Crescent Island, one of the few places in Africa where you can walk among free-roaming animals. Here, you’ll get the chance to spot wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and gazelles while enjoying the tranquility of the island. Later, you’ll transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most famous wildlife destination. Known for its vast plains, abundant wildlife, and dramatic landscapes, Maasai Mara is the perfect place to continue your safari adventure.

Day 5: Full Day Game Drive in Maasai Mara

Day 5 is dedicated to exploring Maasai Mara’s rich wildlife. Early in the morning, you’ll set out on a thrilling game drive through the reserve. The Mara is home to the “Big Five” — lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos — as well as cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, and many other species. If you’re visiting during the Great Wildebeest Migration (typically between July and October), you’ll have the opportunity to witness this spectacular event. The Mara River crossing, where wildebeests bravely leap into the river to avoid predators, is an unforgettable experience for any wildlife enthusiast. Your guide will ensure you don’t miss any of the action, providing insights into the behavior of the animals and the significance of the ecosystem.

Day 6: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

On your final day, enjoy an early morning game drive in Maasai Mara before returning to Nairobi. This last game drive will provide one final opportunity to encounter wildlife before heading back to the capital. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll be transferred to the airport or your hotel for your onward journey.
